ÖGUT Environmental Award 2025 – the nominees have been announced

Special "Renewable Energy" Award – Congratulations to the nominees!

At the 38th ÖGUT Environmental Award, the special prize for "Renewable Energy" will be awarded for the second time this year—donated by us, the Energy Park Research Foundation.

What began last year as a joint initiative with ÖGUT was an important step for us: creating our own category to highlight and recognize innovative projects in the field of renewable energy generation, transfer, and storage.

This is also reflected in the positive response: compared to last year, submissions for our special prize have almost tripled! This strong interest confirms how important it is to shine a spotlight on the Daniel Düsentriebs of the renewable energy sector and their projects, who are working on our shared energy future with creativity, courage, and passion.

From jury meeting to nomination

On October 1, 2025, our expert jury convened to evaluate this year's submissions—no easy task with so much innovative power on display! Ultimately, three outstanding projects stood out and were nominated for the special "Renewable Energy" award:

1. SmartCity Baumgarten – EEG SmartCity Baumgarten Association

2. Education meets future technology – Association for the Promotion of HTL Lastenstraße, Klagenfurt 

3. PU5 – MULTISOURCE small heat pump – Heliotherm Wärmepumpentechnik Ges.m.b.H 

The ÖGUT Environmental Award 2025 ceremony will take place on November 18, 2025, as part of the ÖGUT annual reception. We are already looking forward to announcing the winner and celebrating the innovative power of these projects together.
