Many faces,

A common mission

This is what sets us apart, what we strive for—these are the people behind our Energy Park Research Foundation.

Our organization consists of several bodies that jointly assume responsibility for management, strategic direction, and administration. This clearly defined structure creates transparency, enables informed decisions, and ensures reliable cooperation.

This is how we ensure that we act efficiently, responsibly, and in line with our foundation's purpose—with the common goal of further developing research and innovation in the field of renewable energy in a sustainable manner.

Our foundation members introduce themselves:

Our Foundation Board

The Executive Board manages the foundation's affairs, administers its assets, and represents the foundation externally. It ensures that the foundation's purpose is fulfilled and acts with the diligence of a conscientious manager.

Since the founding of the Energy Park Research Foundation, Hannes Schaffer, managing director of mecca consulting, has been a member of the foundation's board of directors.

Since October 1, 2025, Theresia Vogel, former managing director of the Climate and Energy Fund and chairwoman of FORWIT, has joined the foundation's governing bodies as its second board member.

Our Scientific Advisory Board

New approaches, innovative ideas, and the development of future-oriented projects require sound expertise and experience. The Scientific Advisory Board of the Energy Park Research Foundation brings together experts from the fields of education, business, science, and research, who contribute to the work of the foundation as an advisory committee and participate in the decision-making process for the awarding of scholarships, research grants, and science prizes.

Reinhard Haas, Michael Harasek, and Christoph Hauer have been involved with the Energy Park Research Foundation since its inception. With their technical expertise, many years of experience, valuable input, and diverse perspectives, they have made a significant contribution to the foundation's development from the very beginning.

Our audit

As an independent supervisory body, our audit department ensures transparency and legal certainty within the foundation. The two auditors review the annual financial statements, check that funds have been used properly, and ensure that all legal requirements and non-profit regulations have been complied with.

With their professional expertise, they make a significant contribution to ensuring the integrity, reliability, and credibility of our work.

The audit committee consists of Dipl. KH. Business economist Wolfgang Palatinus and public notary Dr. Chris Mayer.
