Research Foundation.

The Energy Park Research Foundation as a pioneer for renewable energy solutions.

Pioneering energy solutions: 30 years of expertise, one foundation

Founded in 2023, the Energiepark Forschungsstiftung is the result of almost 30 years of joint work in the field of renewable energy: the experience of the Energiepark Bruck/Leitha gave rise to the desire to pool knowledge, promote talent and bring renewable solutions into application more quickly. The Energiepark Research Foundation makes it possible to give this know-how a long-term home - and the space to think, test and scale up new technologies.

Based in Bruck an der Leitha, we are actively shaping the energy transition in Austria - independently and practically. Through research, technological progresst and knowledge transfer we support projects that reduce the use of fossil fuels and serve as a reference for further developments, because our joint project is based on a clear conviction: The future of our energy supply lies in the intelligent use of renewables.

The Energy Park Research Foundation is therefore more than just an institution: it is a connecting framework for people and ideas - driven by the shared vision of a climate-positive energy future with an impact far beyond the coming decades.

Objectives of the Research Foundation

With the Energiepark Forschungsstiftung, we are thus pooling decades of experience and focusing our activities on generation, storage and distribution of renewable energy with a tangible impact in Austria.

We derive clear objectives from the vision and purpose of the foundation:

  • Advancing research Building bridges between universities, industry, society and regions so that solutions can be put into practice and scaled up more quickly.
  • Promoting innovation: Supporting good ideas early on and accompanying them to the next phase.
  • Enable knowledge transfer: Making results visible, publishing them and disseminating them via lectures, seminars and events.
  • Strengthen the ecosystem: Working together to drive our regional and national research and innovation landscape to create lasting impact in Austria.

We also make renewable innovations visible through awards: we bring the people behind the ideas in front of the curtain and give them the stage they deserve. This includes our annual Energy Park Research Foundation Award, the "LIMES Future Prize for Renewable Energy", which will be awarded for the first time in fall 2025.

Our shared focus and positive contribution to the energy transition

We act responsibly and for the long term: every activity exclusively serves our non-profit foundation's purpose of enabling innovation in the field of renewable energy. Decision-making processes are transparent and the focus is on the impact of the initiatives. We rely on cooperation, openness and the transferability of good solutions - so that visions become concrete projects with benefits for regions, the economy and society.

The foundation members, who are presented on the website under the menu item "Foundation bodies", contribute their expertise in order to jointly realize the goals of the research foundation.
