Our congratulations on the "Renewable Energy" special prize
This year's ÖGUT Environmental Award ceremony was held as part of the festive ÖGUT Annual Reception 2024 in the impressive domed hall of the Vienna University of Technology. We are particularly pleased that the Energiepark Forschungsstiftung was represented for the first time with the new Special Renewable Energy Award category. This award recognizes exceptional innovation and commitment in the field of renewable energy.
We would like to congratulate this year's winner:
- Hydrogen plant at the Sonnschienhütte - Alpenverein Austria
The Sonnschienhütte is impressive with its visionary approach to using hydrogen technology in the Alpine region. We would particularly like to thank Dr. Richard Goldeband, who was in charge of this pioneering project. The Sonnschienhütte hydrogen plant impresses with its innovative approach to bringing sustainable hydrogen technology to the Alpine region and thus setting new standards for renewable energy in challenging environments.
The award ceremony has once again shown us the potential that lies in sustainable innovations and the importance of exchange and cooperation in this area. We would like to thank ÖGUT for the great organization and all nominees for their inspiring commitment to a shared renewable energy future.

OUTLOOK - What's next?
Participating in the ÖGUT Environmental Award 2024 was a significant milestone for us as the Energiepark Forschungsstiftung and an inspiring opportunity to experience the innovative strength and diversity in the field of renewable energies at first hand. The direct exchange with the nominated project teams during the award ceremony was particularly enriching.
We look forward to continuing this dialog with the submitters and examining promising approaches for possible collaborations. After all, our goal as a research foundation is to work together with innovative minds to open up new avenues for a shared renewable energy future.
We will be enthusiastically participating in the ÖGUT Environmental Award again next year. It is important to us to further expand the "Renewable Energy" category that we created and to establish it as a permanent fixture in the awards for innovative projects. We see a future full of potential and look forward to setting further milestones along the way.
